SustainaBite Champions for Good Health & Well-being

Our school sustainability project is dedicated to supporting Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good health and wellbeing at all ages. We’ve developed an exciting initiative that addresses various aspects of health, wellbeing and sustainability within our school community.
At the core of our project is the creation of a unique digital cookbook. This cookbook will feature a selection of carefully crafted recipes that emphasise ingredients that are sustainable, budget-friendly, and use eco-friendly or zero-waste packaging. Our goal is to inspire healthier eating choices and reduce our environmental impact. We’re thrilled to partner with Restopolis, the School Canteen company, and envision them producing and distributing these sustainable snacks and dishes to our school community. We also hope to address food access for low-socioeconomic students through a potential breakfast club.
In addition, we’re embarking on another exciting endeavour: a herb garden right on our school grounds. What makes this garden special is that it’s not just for our students; it’s accessible to the local community as well. We believe in fostering trust and community engagement. The garden will be a shared resource, and we’ll provide guidance on how to use the herbs in various ways to promote health and wellbeing.
Our project aspires to foster a strong sense of unity within the local community, shaping a brighter and more sustainable future that extends well beyond our school grounds.
